विवाह संस्कार के साथ पवित्र यात्रा आरंभ करे। यह अवसर दो आत्माओं को विवाह से जोड़ता है। विद्या, विनय, शील, रूप, आयु, बल, कुल, शरीरादि का परिमाण यथायोग्य हो जिन युवक युवती का उनका आपस में सम्भाषण कर माता-पिता अनुमति से गृहस्थ धर्म प्रवेश विवाह है। अर्थात् पूर्ण ब्रह्मचर्यव्रत विद्या बल को प्राप्त करके, सब प्रकार के शुभगुण-कर्म-स्वभावों में तुल्य, परस्पर प्रीतियुक्त हो, विधि अनुसार सन्तानोत्पत्ति और अपने वर्णाश्रमानुकूल उत्तम कर्म करने के लिए युवक युवती का स्वचयनाधारित परिवार से जो सम्बन्ध होता है उसे विवाह कहते हैं।

In other words, after observing complete celibacy and acquiring knowledge and strength, and possessing all types of virtuous qualities, actions, and dispositions in equality, with mutual affection, following the prescribed rituals for procreation and performing righteous actions according to their respective societal duties, the relationship between a young man and a young woman, which is based on their self-determined family, is called marriage.
