Vanprasth Sanskar

विवाह के बाद पुत्र की संतानोत्पत्ति करने और पूर्ण ब्रह्मचर्य व्रत संपन्न करने के बाद जब पुत्र की एक और संतान भी हो जाए, तब व्यक्ति को वानप्रस्थ धर्म के लिए इस संस्कार का आयोजन किया जाता है। गृहस्थ जब अपने शरीर के ढीले और बालों के सफेद होने को देखते हैं और पुत्र का भी पुत्र हो जाता है, तब वन का आश्रय लेते हैं।

वानप्रस्थ करने का समय 50 वर्ष के बाद होता है। जब व्यक्ति नाना-नानी या दादा-दादी बन जाते हैं, तब वह अपनी पत्नी, पुत्र, भाई, बंधु, पुत्री आदि को सभी गृहाश्रमों की शिक्षा देकर वनवास की तैयारी करता है।

After marriage, when one has children and completes the vow of complete celibacy, and when another child is born, the person undergoes the ceremony of Vanprastha, which is a preparation for a life of austerity and study in the forest. When householders see their body becoming weak and their hair turning white, and when their son also has a son, they seek refuge in the forest.

The time for entering Vanprastha is after the age of 50 years. When a person becomes a grandfather or grandmother, they educate their wife, son, brother, relatives, daughter-in-law, etc., about all the duties of household life and prepare for the journey to the forest.
